One person dead, four injured in fire that rips through dormitory

One man was killed and four other people hospitalized after a fire at the Grand Teton Lodge Company's employee dormitory at Colter Bay in Grand Teton National Park.


Idaho Falls Police are investigating an explosion that occurred early Friday morning that caused significant damage to a law office.


The Castleford fire department responded to a structure fire that was near a home early this Friday morning. Lori Stewart with the Twin Falls sheriff’s office said the call for help came in at 3:55 A.M. this Friday morning. Stewart said the call described the building as a shed near a home in the 100 block of Maple street. At this time, there are no reports of injuries.



Spontaneous combustion is being blamed for an early morning haystack fire that destroyed about 50-tons of hay at a Jerome dairy. Joe Robinette, Jerome County rural fire chief said they were notified of the fire at around 2:30 A.M. Friday, 450 East and 100 South at the Giltner Dairy in Jerome County.
