Elevenmile Fire continues to grow

An 8000 acre wildfire is continuing to spread in the Salmon–Challis National Forest. The Elevenmile Fire was first reported on Monday, August 24th and was apparently caused by lighting.

The Waterfall, Stoddard, Roaring, Harbor, and Alpine fires have burned a total of 5,116 acres.

Eastbound traffic approaching U.S. 93 from Filer on 4100 North Road can use the U.S. 93 flyover during the Labor Day weekend. The bridge will close for a couple days after the holiday to finish work on the structure.
