Walker Fire destroys homes near Idaho City

Three homes are destroyed after a wildfire erupted northeast of Boise. The estimated 25,000 acre Walker Fire that is burning approximately eight miles southwest of Idaho City experienced some growth overnight, but is moving away from structures.

There is some movement on the expansion of Valley House in Twin Falls. It was announced Monday that a contractor has been hired to tear down the old buildings on the property that was just purchased by Valley House.

The Twin Falls Urban Renewal Agency will be reimbursing the city over $2 million for a wastewater pretreatment facility. The facility was built in 2011 to pre–treat Chobani's wastewater flows prior to entering into the city's collection system.

The City of Twin Falls is working to put together a transit development plan for the future of public transportation. As a federal mandate the city is required to provide public transit by the time it reaches a population of 50,000 people, which will likely happen by the next census in 2020.
