Could The Valleys See Their First Snowfall
Written by: Brian Neudorff
Snow is possible by Thursday morning across the Magic Valley. Storm system that has been stalled off the Northwest coast of Washington will begin to move inland and pass through the region some of the energy associated with this system will bring snow Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Not expecting this to be a big snow event but enough to take notice when you wake up for school or work on Thursday. As of now, we see about a coating to two inches across the Magic Valley. Ground is warm so a lot of this snow will melt after it falls. Also the roads could see a slushy coating which could make for some scattered slick spots.
In the South Hills and into the Wood River region some of the mountains could get an additional 4 to 6 inches of snow. Any snow that falls won't stick around much because by Friday we will have mostly sunny skies and temperatures near 50.
