Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The selection process for a new judge in Twin Falls County is ongoing after the resignation of Judge Nicole Cannon at the end of last month.

Notices have been sent out to all attorneys who are with the Idaho bar association for those who are interested in applying.

Applications are due July 18th. The interview process is opened to the public.

The Twin Falls County trial court administrator says filling this position is a difficult thing to do, but they are well on their way.

"We take public comment, they could come here, and actually they can go online at the 5th district website and get that. Come here, call, well email well fax and they can send out. If they know something about the people running we will take that” said Linda Wright, Trail Court Administrator 5th district.

Twin Falls County could see a new judge by mid-September.
