Special School District Elections held in Buhl

By Brandon Redmond

Buhl, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Voters came out today for the Buhl school district elections as the school's levy returns to the ballot. Residents in Buhl are voting on whether to pass a new supplemental levy. The school district is seeking a new two year, $400,000 annual supplemental levy.

If passed, the revenue generated by the levy will be used to cover operating expenses and help school officials balance the budget.

Glenn Shark, a Buhl High School teacher, was among one of the individuals who was at the polls voting today and told us why it is so important to vote. "I teach at the high school over there and we want to make sure we've got the resources to help the kids succeed and you know learn what they need to so they will be ready to go to college and stuff and then they will be able to make a good contribution to the community after they graduate."

Voters can vote until 8 p.m. tonight. After all of the votes are counted, the results of the election will be posted on the twin falls county clerk's website.
