Twin Falls Code Enforcement Cracks Down On Hazards

By Andrew Reed

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The City of Twin Falls code enforcement department is closely monitoring properties within city limits.

With Fourth of July fast approaching authorities are cracking down on hazards.

City code states that every owner, tenant, or occupant of private property must cut and remove weeds and grass.

"We start out with a one-hundred dollar fine, then we go to two-hundred, then we go to three-hundred. We can fine up to six-hundred, I want to stress we always search for voluntary compliance before we ever go to that level” said Sean Standley, Twin Falls Code Enforcement officer.

Watching for overgrown vegetation becomes a priority around the fourth of July.
