Search & Rescue Team Raffles off Boat

The Twin Falls County Sheriff Search & Rescue team is holding their annual fundraiser.

The team which is made up of volunteers is a nonprofit organization. They are funded solely by grants and fundraisers and use no county tax money. Each yeah the search and rescue has one large fundraiser where the money raised is use for training and equipment. This year the team is raffling off a boat at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds.

Spencer Uhl who is with the team told us about the various types of search and rescue missions the team does. “The Twin Falls County Search and Rescue, we do all manner search and rescue. We do propelling for rope rescue, we have divers for rescues on the river, we have ground search teams for any kind of lost hunters or downed airplanes in the mountains.”

Tickets for the raffle are $10.00 a piece or you can buy three tickets for $20.00. The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue will draw the winning ticket for the boat Monday evening at the Fairgrounds at 6 p.m.
