Ngozi Ekeledo

Sports Anchor/Reporter

By Paul Johnson

Ngozi Ekeledo is the Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter.

Ngozi is a recent graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. During her time in Evanston, she reported on Wildcats sports for the Northwestern News Network and worked as a camera operator and sideline reporter for the Big Ten Network’s Digital Network and StudentU Productions.

Before joining KMVT, Ngozi had the opportunity to work for ESPN as a digital media intern. In Bristol, she had the chance to watch E:60 stories with fellow NU alum Rachel Nichols, hang out with SportsCenter anchors like Jay Harris and Sara Walsh, talk with Olympic Gold medalists and listen to inspirational speeches.

Ngozi has also worked for KVRR in Fargo, North Dakota and 13-WMAZ in Macon, Georgia. Originally from the “Peach State,” Ngozi loves cheering for the Atlanta Falcons, Braves and Hawks, but she holds a soft spot in her heart for Chicago’s sports teams. She was raised as a Michigan State Spartans basketball fan, though, and thinks Tom Izzo is a genius.

When Ngozi’s not working, she loves to read, write, shop obsessively, make people laugh and play sports.
