News Director/Anchor

Tools

By Paul Johnson

I have been in the broadcasting industry for more than 30 years now.

I got my start at a small AM/FM radio station in Hastings, Nebraska. From there I moved on to television.

I worked for KHAS TV in Hastings as a Reporter/Anchor; eventually I became the stations News Director.

After working at KHAS for about 13 years I got the itch to move west. Lewiston, Idaho, and KLEW-TV is where we landed, as I took over the News Directors position.

From there it was a transfer to News Director at KEPR-TV in Pasco, Washington. Also while I was in Pasco, I did the stadium announcing for the Tri City Posse baseball team.

From KEPR, I went to KAYU-TV in Spokane, Washington.

I arrived in Twin Falls as KMVT-TV’s News Director in late December of 1999.

I have been married for over 30 years and have five boys. Two of my sons played football on scholarships at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Washington, another is currently playing football on scholarship at Idaho State University and another is playing football on scholarship at Minot State in North Dakota.
