Danielle Kosir is a national, regional and local award-winning journalist with more than six years of experience in the field.

She is the 2011 recipient of the Idaho Press Club's "Best Morning Show" award. This comes less than six months after she created 'Rise and Shine, Southern Idaho' from the ground up.

Kosir currently works as the anchor and executive producer of 'Rise and Shine, Southern Idaho' at CBS affiliate KMVT in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Kosir has also earned national and local recognition for a two-part investigative series on hotel coin buyers. She took home second place for "Best Investigative Report" in the 2011 Press Club of Southeast Texas 'Excellence in the Media' awards. The series also won her the 2010 Numismatic Literary Guild award for "Best Television Report."

She came to the Magic Valley in October, 2010 from Beaumont, Texas, where she worked as a reporter and fill-in weekend anchor and producer for KBTV Fox 4.

Danielle graduated with honors from Malone University in Canton, Ohio, with a B.A. in Communication Arts, a Media concentration and a Writing minor.

As a sophomore, Danielle co-founded the university’s first television station, ‘METV,' which kept her busy recruiting and leading a team of nearly 20 students. She was selected as the station's main anchor for three consecutive years, and also worked as a reporter.

Danielle got her start in the broadcasting field at a young age. While she was still in college, she was making an on-air presence as a co-host and reporter at WMFD-TV in Mansfield, Ohio.

She also spent a summer in the public relations field, where she worked as a Media and Communications Coordinator for Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Dublin, Ohio.

When she’s not at work, Danielle enjoys hosting dinner parties, napping on hammocks and playing board games.
