Return to event list.Saturday, July 28th - Take a trip back in time to the 1862 Boise Basin gold camps. Opening Ceremonies at the CentervilleCommunity Center, kickoff with a hearty pioneer breakfast starting at (8–11:00am), where you will pick up your Event Guide; the key to a mother lode of activities and self guided tours. At noon there will be a ribbon cutting ceremony, visit from Legislative Dignitaries, and National Guard helicopter flyover. Hot dogs and pulled pork sandwiches will be available to purchase from (2pm–8pm). Bonfire Gold Dust stomp will start at (6pm) until closing. Music provided by Jim Stewart. The New Interpretive Center in the Historic Train Depot at Centerville will be open daily throughout the celebration. Enjoy gold panning at the original gold discovery site, Scenic Boise Basin driving tour and other actives throughout the week. Sunday, July 29th - Services at Episcopal Church in Placerville and the Catholic Church in Idaho City with guided tours after the services. The Placerville Historical Museum will be open for tours Saturday and Sunday. In addition, The Idaho City Arts Council presents Cemetery Comes Alive at the Pioneer Cemetery in Idaho City. Friday, August 3rd – Idaho City PARTY IN THE PARK (Beer and Brats in John Brogan Park, 5-8pm) followed by HIGH STREET IN THE HALL (Swing Dance at Ray Robison Community Hall 7-11pm). Sat., August 4th - HISTORY COMES ALIVE (9am - 3pm) - Pancake Breakfast (9am) Costume Parade and Photo Shoot (11am) , and Living History Festival, until 1:00pm. Saturday, August 4th –1:00 pm Come to Placerville for Old Fashioned Games and Cake Walk. The Placerville Historical Museum and the Masonic Lodge will be open for tours. There will be a hog roasting that will be for the potluck dinner that evening (5pm) The Closing Ceremonies with Legislative Dignitaries and music afterwards. Ongoing/Daily Activities throughout Centerville, Placerville and Idaho City. Attend Historical Church Services, Sunday, July 29th: Emanuel Episcopal Church (ca. 1900), Placerville @ 11:00 and St. Joseph Catholic Church (1865) Idaho City @noon.
