Event Description

Primary Therapy Source is recognizing physical therapy month by having 3 free classes Wednesday nights at their office for the month of October.
October 10th will be a fitness class and screen for all ages where you will learn different exercises for all parts of your body; upper body, lower body, core training, stretching, and cardiovascular. You will receive your body mass index number and what it means, and also receive education on nutrition and diet. Come prepared to exercise and have fun.
October 17th is a Yoga class for children with disabilities. Caregivers are invited to bring their loved ones to Primary Therapy Source to join our Yoga class. No experience necessary as our Physical and Occupational Therapists will lead the class and licensed therapist will be there to help you achieve those more difficult positions. Yoga is a great way to bond with your child while improving their flexibility, strength, and balance.
October 24th will be two different classes, one for caregivers dealing with plagiocephaly (misshaped head of newborns) and one for runners. Jan Yingst, our certified pediatric physical therapist will lead a discussion about risks for developing plagiocephaly. Expectant mothers and any caregivers of young children are encouraged to come, you will learn different activities to encourage well shaped heads and decrease risk of developmental delay. Our class on running will be led by Nash Johnson, DPT. The newest trends and how to prevent injury are among are main topics. Long time runners to runners just breaking into the sport are encouraged to come to try to minimize your injuries by maximizing your performance.

All classes will be at 7pm and will run about 1 hour, at Primary Therapy Source, 254 River Vista Place in Twin Falls.
Refreshments will be provided as well as door prizes.
