Event Description

The 4th Annual Lost N Lava Cowboy Gathering will be held on September 20, 21 & 22nd, located in Shoshone, Idaho at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds and Community Center. The Best in the West entertainers are traveling to Shoshone for the three day weekend filled with music and poetry for the entire family.

The Lost N Lava organization is welcoming everyone out to the kickoff party that will be held on Thursday evening September 19th starting at 6:30pm at the Fairgrounds. The public is invited to sit around the campfire and listen to cowboy music and poetry. A potluck dinner will be served starting at 6:30pm with a suggested donation of $5.00. The event will go through the late evening. Come and join the members of the Lost N Lava Committee and musicians and poets as they tell tall tales, poems, and sing their songs.

The Cowboy Gathering will begin at 11:00am, Friday with free activities throughout the day. Open Music and poetry sessions will be inside the Community Center. Displays, Food and Vendors will be located just outside of the Community Center. The free activities will continue all day.

Evening Concerts will be held on Friday and Saturday starting with a Pre-Show at 6:30pm and Concerts beginning at 7:00pm. Concerts will feature different entertainers each night. A new addition to the concerts this year is that Lost N Lava has asked the Little Wood River VFW Post 3001 to be a part of the Gathering. This year the VFW will present colors for each night. Schedule for the evening concerts are as following:

Friday night:
Pre-Show: David Anderson, Coyote Joe and Wayne Nelson
Concert: Lonnie Shurtleff, Bruce “Looselip” Pinson, Jerry Bell, Wayne Nelson, Bobbie Hunter and Stampede.

Saturday Night:
Pre-Show: Lonnie Shurtleff, Jerry Bell, Wayne Nelson
Concert: David & Jenny Anderson, Tony Argento, The Rounders, Sam Deleeuw, Coyote Joe and Bill Chiles.

Following both evening concerts there will be free Jam Sessions held at 2nd Time Around Antique Store located at South Rail and Greenwood streets. Public and musicians are welcome. There will be food and drink. This event is sponsored by 2nd Time Around and Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets for the evening concerts are $12.00 for adults and $6.00 for children. This year there is a weekend package that includes discounted prices for the two evening concerts. Packages are Single person $20.00, Couples $40.00 and Family $60.00. You can purchase your advance tickets at 2nd Time Around in Shoshone or at the Community Center door. Part of the proceeds of the evening concert goes to the Little Wood River VFW Post 3001.

Saturday morning a community breakfast cooked by the VFW will be held from 8am to 10am. Breakfast is by donation. Music and Poetry will begin again at 11:00am and all day activities are free. Sunday Morning there will be Cowboy Church that will begin at 9:30am and then the cowboy entertainment will run until 3:00pm. Public is welcome attend all day events.
