Approved by the Idaho State Department of Education, the American Board is a nonprofit organization that helps qualified professionals become certified to teach. The American Board program provides an affordable and accessible route to teacher certification for career changers, working professionals, veterans, college graduates, and other qualified individuals. Through the American Board, you can become certified to teach in any of the following subjects: Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, General Science, Physics, English Language Arts, Elementary Education, Special Education, History, and Reading.
Your community needs your help. Students in Idaho need qualified and dedicated teachers to help them succeed. As a teacher, you can be a role model in your community, and help your kids build bright futures.
The American Board program is self-paced, and offered online, so you can work on the program on your own time, at your own pace.
