Event Description

Michael Pollard may possibly be the only person who has survived a five organ transplant. Doctors calculated his post-surgery lifespan in months, not years. That was twelve years ago. Pollard and longtime Twin Falls gastroenterologist, Dr. Ted Rea, will discuss the events leading up to the landmark surgery and what has occurred since then at noon Thursday, Oct. 3 in room 151 of the College of Southern Idaho’s Health Science building.

Pollard says he remains grateful for the opportunities he has had, including enjoying watching his children and grandchildren grow. He is working on a book that describes how his faith, family, and perseverance have helped him through his journey as well as strategies for future health care professionals.

CSI students and the public are invited to attend the event free of charge. For more information, please contact CSI Allied Health instructor RoseAnna Holliday at 732-6737 or at rholliday@csi.edu.
