Event Description

Ever wanted to write a novel, but didn't know where to start? Join us for National Novel Writing Month! NaNoWriMo is a program encouraging writers, would-be writers and procrastinators to try to write 50,000 words (or about 175 pages) in 30 days. This year, we have three events to get - and keep - you writing:

Monday, November 4 (7PM) - NaNoWriMo Jump Start
Local authors Bonnie Dodge and Pat Marcantonio will be here to talk about their writing and publishing experiences, and then help kick the month off with a brainstorming session. Challenge yourself to try it out!

Friday, November 15 (5:30-7:30 PM) - Come Write In!
Stop by for some additional inspiration during our Write-In! We'll have outlets, computers, and caffeine for this after-hours event. And we'll talk about ideas to keep you motivated.

Monday, November 25 (7PM) - NaNoWriMo Share
Join us for some sharing time! We'd love to hear your favorite passage, your frustrations, or even your excuses for why you didn't quite finish your book. Plus, we'll discuss how we can prepare for next November!

Call 733-2964 ext 109 for more information. All Library programs are free and open to the public.
