Morgan Rumpf is a Weekend Sports Anchor and Reporter with KMVT News
Morgan Rumpf joined the KMVT News team in July of 2017 as the Weekend Sports Anchor and News Reporter.
What she's most excited for in Southern Idaho is to dabble in all the new experiences that are presented to her, and travel around the state.
She is a native of Saratoga Springs in Upstate New York who enjoys the outdoors. Her favorite part of her hometown is the "Health, History and Horses" and everything that encompasses a Saratoga summer. Her love for sports comes from listening to her father commentate every sporting event that's broadcasted on television. Her favorite sports include baseball, football and hockey. She may be from New York but is a die hard Red Sox fan.
She graduated magna cum laude in May 2017 from the State University of New York (SUNY) College at Oswego with a B.A. in broadcasting and mass communication with a minor in athletic coaching. During her time at Oswego, she was actively involved in the student-run Al Roker Television Station, WTOP-10, where she was the sports director her senior year.
She received second place for the 2017 Syracuse Press Club Award for Outstanding College Television Sport Story. She received a nomination for Sports Video Group's Collegiate Student: Outstanding Special Features category as well as Honorable Mention in the Hype Video/PSA category.
