TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) The Special Forces bowling league met for the last time of the year and held an award ceremony for the participants.
The league is for adults with disabilities, and it gives them the chance to get out, socialize and make new friends.
Coordinator Hilary Western says that this gives them something to look forward too.
"A lot of these bowlers are involved in Special Olympic bowling in the fall, but this gives them a good way to have something to do during the winter."
Western explains why this is important for those involved in it.
"There's not a whole lot of organized activities and events for people with disabilities, and Special Forces gives them ownership over this great event," she said. "That they know they can come to, be a part of, and that they can really shine, thrive and share their talents with others."
