Buhl man honored for more than five decades of service

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Many Buhl locals recognize Lyle Master's as an auctioneer and the voice of Sagebrush Days.

For more than 50 years he lived and worked in the Magic Valley.

He organized the first Magic Valley Shriners game in 1978. Since then it has grown to be one of the largest events that the Shriners host and raises funds to support the Shriner Children's Hospital.

The Buhl Chamber of Commerce presented him with an award on Friday, thanking him for his year's of service and dedication.

Family and friends gathered at the Bridgeview Estates to celebrate with him.

Lyle helped the Castleford Men's Club raise roughly $1 million since 1987 for their local community projects.

He was inducted into the Livestock Hall of Fame in 1992, he has been actively involved in the agricultural community raising feeder cattle and quarter horses.

Many say he has "the gift of gab" which helped benefit countless charities and organizations in the community.
