TWIN FALLS, (Idaho) - Some children got a head start on trick-or-treating with a special guest Monday morning.

Mayor Shawn Barigar read a story to the children at the Twin Falls Public Library before he took them on a walk around downtown for candy.

They stopped by city offices, including the fire department and City Hall.

"The mayor is also doing his walking challenge and we figured it'd be a perfect thing to combine his walking challenge and also do something fun for Halloween," said Erica Littlefield, Youth Services Supervisor of the Twin Falls Public Library.

The library also hosted another Halloween event that afternoon for all ages.
