MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — The Ada County Coroner's Office has identified a body recovered from the burned wreckage of a Meridian house.

The Idaho Press-Tribune reports the coroner's office says the body is Pavel Lorenzo Florea. Officials are not releasing the cause of Florea's death because Boise police are investigating the fire.

Florea is believed to have invaded the house the night of Sept. 27. The suspect engaged police in an armed standoff before retreating into the house. The family inside called police and locked themselves in a bedroom. Within a few minutes, the house was on fire.

One of the residents, Scott McAlister, was flown to a burn unit in Salt Lake City, where he died the next day. McAlister's mother, Carmen Abbott, who was visiting that night, died in the fire.
