UPDATE: Three-vehicle crash blocks traffic for more than an hour on US93

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) UPDATE: Sunday 10:00 a.m.

A three vehicle crash blocked traffic for more than an hour on U.S. 93 near milepost 60 in Jerome County on Saturday.

Idaho State Police say a juvenile was driving north in a pickup truck with a trailer on the highway through a dust storm just before 5 p.m. According to ISP Susana Ferreira was driving south in an SUV and Randy Owen was driving behind her in a sedan.

ISP says the truck sideswiped the SUV then continued across the road and off the west shoulder. The sedan behind the SUV hit the trailer.

According to ISP all of the drivers were wearing a seat belt.

Traffic was blocked in the area for about an hour and a half.

UPDATE: Saturday 6:30 p.m.

According to Idaho State Police, southbound lanes on on US-93 are now open.


Idaho State Police is investigating a crash on US-93 one mile north of the Jerome interchange.

In a news release, ISP said the southbound lane is blocked.

More information will be released as it becomes available.
