(KMVT/KSVT) - Idaho airports received $37 million in grants from the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) Airport Improvement Program. All funds will help with maintaining and improving facilities across the state.
Locally, the Magic Valley Regional Airport got their share of more than $4.6 million, which will go toward their taxiway project and acquiring an aircraft rescue and fire fighting vehicle.
The Friedman Memorial Airport received $2.6 million dollars for snow removal equipment, to fix their runway, and expand their north terminal apron.
The Jerome County Airport took in $1.1 million to maintain its apron and reconstruct its taxiway.
