FILER, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Everyone is all right after flames burned near Kelley's Orchard in Filer.
Crews sprayed down what was left of the fire that started just before 2 p.m. on Thursday.
They said they got it under control quickly, about 40 minutes.
The fire started at Kelley's Orchard. They were burning a pile of trimmings. The wind took the flames and carried them up the hillside.
“With it dry out here right now, with this weird weather I guess you might say it, the grass is drying out again,” said Dale Mahan, the safety officer for Filer Fire Department. “You might be careful about burning outside right now in the wind.
Mahan said this is just one of a few fires he's seen in the last week.
