Hansen resumes school following flooding

HANSEN, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Students in Hansen return to school Wednesday after flooding issues caused the district to call off classes on Monday and Tuesday.

The flooding wasn't the same that other districts were experiencing, though: these problems stemmed from a frozen pipe in the junior and senior high school sprinkler system.

"They had a draft because there was a hole in the sheet rock, so that caused the pipe to freeze and when the pipe froze, it busted the sprinkler head off. It flooded from this room all the way down the hallway, down a second corridor. It affected eight to ten rooms," said Elite Restoration cleaning manager Nichole Garcia.

If this story sounds familiar, it's because it is – the district dealt with the same problem in February 2016.
