Honoring first responders with a free golf tournament

By  |

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Jesse Viestra wanted to honor family friend and fallen fire fighter Ryan Franklin by finding a way to give back to first responders.

Jesse paired with local businesses to sponsor a golf tournament, where first responders can play a round of golf for free.

It’s open to all emergency personnel from fire fighters, to police and emergency room workers from all over the Magic Valley.

The event is on Monday July 16, and will start at noon with tee-off to follow at 1:00 P.M.

"We just built it strictly around appreciation. It's like hey you guys do so much the community wants to give back and we want to send you to Blue Lakes Country Club to go play a round of golf,” Viestra said. “Just go have fun and enjoy your brotherhood, this one's on us, and thank you for everything you do."

Spots are filling up quickly with only room for seven more teams available. For more information regarding signing up a team, or playing in the event please review the flyer attached.
