ISP rolls out new VR recruiting tool

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) If you're interested in becoming a police officer, look no further than your phone.

Idaho State Police rolled out their new virtual reality app.

It allows you to see behind-the-scenes training with a 360 degree perspective.

ISP says they believe they are the first agency in the country to develop this recruitment tool.

They say it offers a good perspective that isn't always available to prospective applicants.

“Looking back to when I was looking for working for ISP,” Lt. Robert Rausch said, “it would have answered some of my questions and maybe laid some fears back then.”

It makes your decision a little more informed, he said.

The app is called "Join ISP" and is available on Google Play or the App Store.
