BOISE, Idaho (AP) - The cause of a deadly Boise fire likely won't be announced until early 2017.
Boise Fire Department Tammy Barry tells the Idaho Statesman that investigators are awaiting results from toxicology tests of the woman who died in the Dec. 10 fire, and that could take another two or three weeks.
The woman, 45-year-old Wendy Comfort, lived on the third floor of a 24-unit building that burned. Five other people were injured in the blaze - four residents and a firefighter.
Damage to electrical equipment rendered the complex unlivable and 24 families were forced to leave. Police say three apartments have since been burglarized.
