Gasoline explosion severely burns Twin Falls man

(KMVT/KSVT) — A Twin Falls man was taken to the University of Utah Burn Center for severe burns after an explosion Monday morning,

The Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office said Bryan E. Silvester, 60, was filling a gas tank in the back of his pickup truck at 2465 East 3300 North when an explosion occurred, catching him and the truck on fire.

Bystanders got Silvester out of his burning clothes and into a nearby pickup truck before medics arrived. He was taken by air to University of Utah hospital with burns on the lower half of his body.

Salmon Track Rural Fire and Magic Valley Paramedics also responded to the accident.
