My St. Luke's encourages patients to be involved in their health

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) It’s been one year since St. Luke’s implemented their electronic health record.

With the passing of time hospital staff and administrators have been able to work through some of the kinks of the program and find ways to use it most efficiently.

Medical providers say the response from patients has been very positive as they access their health history and test results digitally.

They also appreciate that each of the different healthcare professionals have the same information in front of them.

“Then they can trend it in there and see where it was last year, where was my cholesterol like and really get more engaged in their health,” said Dr. Trevor Satterfield, Family Physician.

Dr. Satterfield encourages you to speak with your provider about any updates your profile may need, like if you get a flu shot from a pharmacy.

Be sure to check out the helpful links seen on My Chart about test results and what they could mean for your health.
