No local businesses broadcasting Mayweather versus McGregor fight

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and MMA fighter, Conor McGregor will meet in the boxing ring in Las Vegas Saturday night. The multi-million dollar fight has boxers and UFC fighters alike excited and gamblers placing their bets. The fight is going to be broadcasted through Showtime’s Pay-Per-View for $99.95.

However don't plan on going to a local Twin Falls business to watch the fight. Many restaurants and bars wanted to host the fight but charges to do so were too large.

"We would also be having to charge at least $50 at the door for the size of the restaurant we are, to even make up for the cost. Of $4,000-ish so really for us it did not make sense," said Chris Hangel owner of Anchor Bar in Twin Falls.

Business owners didn't want to push off the additional charges on patrons and have it hinder the night’s business. So rather watch from the comfort of your own home with friends.
