One child killed in motor home fire in Twin Falls County

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — The state fire marshal has been called to investigate a fire that killed a child in a motor home Monday afternoon.

Two-year-old Cassandra Luckey died on scene, according to the Twin Falls Sheriff's Office.

Lori Stewart, with the Twin Falls Sheriff’s Office, told KMVT the agency is putting together a news release with more information to be issued later.

Emergency responders were called just before 1 p.m. to the 3300 block of U.S. Highway 93 for a trailer on fire.

People were living in a motorhome next to another home. A cause had not yet been determined.

The Red Cross has stepped in to help the displaced family.

The sheriff’s office, Magic Valley Paramedics and Salmon Tract Rural Fire Protection District responded to the fire.
