This Powerball is expected to increase to $478 million by Saturday, is the fifth largest in the game’s history.
“When there is this much excitement for a draw, we want to remind everyone to only play what they can afford, not to go overboard,” said Jeff Anderson, Idaho Lottery Director. “It only takes one ticket to win.”
According to the Idaho Lottery, Wednesday night’s draw produced 10,000 winning tickets in Idaho and a total of $52,000 in prizes.
People have until Saturday at 7:55 p.m. to purchase a ticket to be included in the drawing. As the drawing night approaches, retailers are reporting a higher-than-normal player traffic.
The Idaho Lottery is also recommending players sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe place until claiming their prize.
