TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) - A section of the Preserve Trail is set to open this Friday.
Connecting the Centennial Trail to the Federation Trail along the canyon rim, this will create a continuous path for cyclists and pedestrians.
Construction began earlier this summer, which included excavation, installation and laying the asphalt.
"We're asking folks to stay on the trail and not to meander off to private property," said Josh Palmer, spokesperson of the City of Twin Falls. "We have put up fences to remind folks that the other side of the fence is private property."
A small section of the trail needs to be paved before the whole trail can officially open, which should be completed within one to two weeks.
