SW Idaho man dies in collision with train

(KMVT/KSVT) — A southwest Idaho man died Thursday morning after the tractor he drove was struck by a train.

Idaho State Police say Floyd C. Gibson, 61, of Nampa, drove southbound on Look Lane, northwest of Caldwell, in a Kenworth tractor towing a trailer. Gibson failed to yield to at a stop sign and was struck by an eastbound Union Pacific locomotive.

In a news release, ISP said Gibson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected. He died at of his injuries at the scene.

ISP investigates the crash.
