TWIN FALLS, Idaho (News Release) — There will be intermittent lane closures at Filer Avenue West near Wendell Street South beginning Friday, Aug. 4 through Friday, Sept. 29 for contractors with the city of Twin Falls to continue work on the Grandview Sewer Trunkline.

During the project, which will expand sewer capacity in west Twin Falls, contractors will also require a 14-day closure to all non-local vehicle traffic to install new sewer lines across the roadway.

Local access will be maintained for the duration of the project but all other vehicles are encouraged to use Caswell Avenue for east-west access around the project. Knife River has contracted with the city to install new pipeline across Filer Avenue West and tie into an existing manhole north of the Twin Falls County West building located at 630 Addison Ave. West.

The project, which is funded with sewer bond money, will complete one of the recommendations in the Wastewater Collection System Capital Improvement Plan. Questions or concerns regarding this project should be directed to Josh Baird, City of Twin Falls Staff Engineer, at 208-735-7323 or jbaird@tfid.org.
