SHOSHONE, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) Students in Shoshone were able to give back to the community Tuesday by doing community service.
Students from kindergarten through 12 grade were spread across Shoshone to take part in the school district's annual community give back day.
They did things such as picking up trash along the highway, cleaned up yards and planted flowers.
Sixth-grader Kaden Owens said that it was nice to give back to the community.
"I feel like the community gives us so much, we need to give back," Kaden said. "I mean, this is the littlest we could do. They've spent so much money in our schools, came to all of our games, I feel like this is what we need to do. It was fun too."
This was the seventh year they have participated in a community service project like this.
