(KMVT/KSVT) - If you're in the market for a Tesla, you may end up having to pay for a charge.
Any Tesla purchased after Sunday, Jan. 15, will receive free charging credits that cover approximately 1,000 miles per year.
Customers will then have to pay a small fee to charge up if the credits are exceeded.
In Idaho, it will cost 12 cents per kilowatt–hour.
Those who already own one or bought one up until today will continue to have unlimited free charging for the life of the car.
