TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A 36-year-old man accused of inappropriately touching two boys faces lewd conduct with a minor charges.
Twin Falls County Magistrate Court arraigned Curtis J. Wrigley on Thursday.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the mother told police she’d become acquainted with Wrigley during the past six months and had asked Wrigley to babysit her boys on a couple of occasions. She later learned her boys, ages 8 and 11, had been inappropriately touched by Wrigley. Through a Children at Risk Evaluation Services interview, the boys alleged Wrigley had put his hand down their pants. One boy said during one incident Wrigley had put the boy's hand down his pants.
When police interviewed Wrigley, he initially denied inappropriately touching the boys in November and said he had accidentally touched the boys on the outside of their paints while they climbed on him to do backflips. After Wrigley made the comment of needing to discuss the allegations with his LDS bishop, the officer urged Wrigley to be honest with him and to tell him what he was going to tell his bishop. At that point, Wrigley admitted to touching both boys intentionally, court documents said.
Wrigley is being held on a $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 5.
