TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) A Twin Falls woman was charged with domestic violence inflicting traumatic injury after authorities say she stabbed her husband with a pair of scissors.
Police were called to the home to find Amal Resen's husband stabbed in his hand.
According to court records, the children in the home spoke broken English and indicated that Resen had said not to speak to them.
They each provided different stories as to what happened, police say. At first the woman said the victim had hit his hand with a hammer.
The man later told police that Resen was angry over tax return money that he had spent to pay rent.
During the argument, the woman allegedly stabbed him in the hand, requiring multiple stitches.
Her preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 13.
