Keegan Duncan named Idaho 2A Football Player of the Year

DECLO, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Declo head coach Kelly Kidd helped guide the Hornets to a 13-0 record and their third state football championship in six years. His star player Keegan Duncan was a key part of that success, all year long.

The dynamic duo earned the 2A State Football Coach and Player of the Year as featured in the Idaho Stateman's All-Idaho team.

The junior back ran for 2,843 yards and 29 touchdowns. He finished the year with 3,795 all-purpose yards and 42 total TD's.

Coach Kidd estimates that Duncan has set about five school records, but nothing is concrete yet.

Duncan isn't just the talk of Idaho, but the west region. Schools like Boise State, Stanford and Washington are interested in him.

But of course, Duncan despite his accolades, chooses to be humble.

Declo football just scheduled 3A state champion Fruitland for next year on October 5th, giving Duncan and the rest of the squad a chance to play against some of the best.
