Baumert leads Twin Falls past Skyline; local basketball roundup

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) After a four point outing Thursday night against Spring Creek, Kylie Baumert hoped for a better outcome against Skyline of Idaho Falls.

The Twin Falls Bruins playing in day two of the Girls Basketball Holiday Tournament.

A tight one down the stretch, we're tied up at 36. That's until Sage Swan sneaks a pass into Baumert, Bruins up two.

The teams both in foul trouble as McKayla Rodriguez goes out with two minutes to play. On the other end, Annalese Charet makes one of two free throws to put the Grizzlies ahead by a point.

But then Baumert, delivers from long range, her three pointer gives the Bruins a two point advantage and Skyline never scores again.

Twin Falls wins 48-40. The senior guard had a game-high 23 points. Maddie Glascock produced six steals.

Erin Jenkins paced the Grizzlies with 18 points.
