Bolyard and Wiest combine for 51 as TFCA routs Castleford; boys basketball roundup

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Castleford Boys Basketball was seeking its first win since the first week of the season. The Wolves at Twin Falls Christian, the Warriors trying to bounce back from Monday night's one point loss to Murtaugh.

The Warriors up by 20 at the start of the third quarter. Kevin Wiest from deep, his three pointer puts Twin Falls up 45-22. Credit the senior with 21 points on the night. Elijah Bolyard with the nice find to Wiest who works his way through the defense.

This time it's Bolyard who takes it himself. He posted a game-high 31 points, back to back 30 point nights for the senior.

Castleford trying to keep up, as Kolby Taylor gets the offensive rebound and putback, he had a team-high 18 points.

But this one all Warriors, 72-48.


Carey 45, Valley 37: Mecham led all scorers with 10 points for the Panthers.

Kimberly 55, Sugar Salem, 28 Garey had 20 points in the win. Kimberly takes on Jerome at 6 pm on Wednesday in the Magic Valley Holiday Classic.

Canyon Ridge 52, Buhl 35: Hudson Pierce led all scorers with 13 points, while Avery Rambur added 12 for the Riverhawks. Adam Lauda produced 11 points in the loss for the Indians.

Idaho Falls 49, Jerome 33: Jerome fell to Idaho Falls in the Magic Valley Holiday Classic. Jerome will host Kimberly on Wednesday at 6 pm.

CSI 97, Treasure Valley 81: CSI out-rebounded the Chukars 46-25.
Charles Jones Jr. posted 21 points. Khalid Thomas added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
