Bruins get revenge on Diamondbacks; basketball roundup

TWIN FALLS, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Century Girls Basketball opened with a huge home win over Twin Falls and have yet to lose to a 4A opponent. But the Lady Diamondbacks have fallen on a down whirl spiral, with the last four games being losses to 5A teams.

The Bruins are trying to bounce back from a loss during the women's holiday tournament.

Century up in the third quarter, Bruins trying to cut into the deficit. Senior Morgan Harr back in the lineup since December 6, following an injury.

Her three pointer makes it a six point game, nine points on the night for her.

This time she goes inside to freshman Paige Beem and she goes hard for the bucket. Bruins keeping pace. It's a seven point game now, as the third dwindles down, Beem wide open at the top of the key and she takes off, count the bucket and the foul. Beem with ten points.

On the other end, Diamondbacks up five, Ashton Adamson looking for an open body, gives it off to Lexi Bull and the sophomore gets the lucky roll.

Century up seven with a minute or so left in the quarter, but no one could stop Kylie Baumert, her game-high 17 points gives Twin Falls the lift it needs, as the Bruins get the best of its future conference opponent with a narrow 51-48 win.

Twin Falls heads to Jerome on Thursday for the first of two meetings.
