Canyon Ridge Girls Soccer gets big road win: local soccer roundup

JEROME, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Everyone is chasing Twin Falls who just put up 15 goals against Minico and is undefeated in conference play.

But for the Riverhawks and Tigers, only a half game separates them in the standings.

The Riverhawks took an early 1–0 lead on a goal by Caitlin Crist.

Unfortunately for us, we caught them at a time when no one put one through the net.

The Tigers managed to equalize before halftime.

But then Canyon Ridge pulled away winning 4–2.

Ashley Conrad and Laura Lopez also scored.


Wood River 2, Burley 1: Emily Thayer scored both goals for the Wolverines, while Anna Goodwin scored for the Bobcats in the loss.

Twin Falls 15, Minico 0: Twin Falls' Madison Hicks had four goals and the Bruins routed the Spartans 15-0.

Canyon Ridge 1, Jerome 1: The lone goal of the game was scored by Victor Gurung and assisted by Rigo Garcia.

Twin Falls 3, Minico 0: Jake Hillman, Josh Stagge and Champ Geske all scored in the second half for the win.


Twin Falls 1, Preston 1: Jake Hillman scored a goal and the Bruins gave up a PK in the last few min for a tie.
