TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Canyon Ridge softball standout Kira Haskell made her college decision official Thursday afternoon.
The senior center fielder signed her letter of intent to play at Walla Walla community college.
She says she knew a few of the players before visiting, but it was the trip there that sealed the deal.
"I looked at other schools and I just didn't like the atmosphere as much. The other schools just didn't appeal to me as much and when I went to Walla Walla I just felt like I was home. I just instantly met people that I connected with really well," said Haskell.
"She has some power, she's a good hitter, good contact hitter, great glove, good arm. Just an all–around good center fielder for us, she does a lot of good things. She has a great attitude, works hard, everything you would want in a player," said Canyon Ridge head softball coach Lyle Hudelson.
Kira says she'd like to either enter the criminology or sociology field.
