Filer native honored with collegiate volleyball awards

LEXINGTON, Kentucky (KMVT/KSVT) Joely Roe graduated from Filer High School and took her volleyball talents to Presentation College in South Dakota where she continues to shine.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced today their NAIA All-Region teams for the 2017 season.

Joely Roe a Filer native and junior at Presentation College was named to the team as well as being honored with Libero of the Year. She is the first saint to earn the libero honor.

Roe broke almost every defensive category record. She finished the season with 850 digs, 6.54 digs per set, 87 assists and 22 service aces.
