MOSCOW, Idaho ( KMVT / KSVT ) Former CSI All–American Alycia Wodke is excelling in her first year at Idaho.
The junior libero just earned the title of Big Sky Newcomer of the Year. She leads all juniors in the conference with 4.6 digs per set and twice produced 26 digs a match.
Wodke was also a two–time Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week recipient.
Teammate Sarah Sharp named to the conference's first team. The Filer native led the team with a career best 3.62 kills per set, ranking fourth in the conference.
She has 16 double–figure kill matches this season, including a 24 kill outburst against North Dakota, a career–high.
Sharp also picked up her first Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week honor this season. She made the all–conference second team last year.
The Vandals are currently competing in the Big Sky Tournament, having swept Idaho State Thursday.
They face UND Friday in the semi–final.
