Golden Eagles WBB met their match against New Mexico

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (KMVT/KSVT) The College of Southern Idaho’s women’s basketball team met their match Saturday in the Salt Lake Invitational.

The number 15 ranked Golden Eagles faced number four ranked New Mexico and they struggled.

The Eagles only 27 percent from the field, a mere seven percent from beyond the arc and 25 percent from the free-throw line.

New Mexico capitalized on the Golden Eagles weakness and shot 51 percent from the field in their 78-44 win.

Tiena Afu led CSI with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds.
CSI's overall record is now 11-2.

The women play again at home on Saturday against Western Wyoming.
